AHEC Digital Library  http://library.ncahec.net/

The AHEC Digital Library is a statewide electronic network of resources and services. It is designed to be the first choice portal to the Internet for all NC health care professionals in order to support their clinical and educational needs.

The AHEC Digital Library includes full-text journals and textbooks, OVID databases such as MEDLINE and CINAHL, comprehensive health information sites such as MDConsult, links to drug information and health news, patient education materials, and continuing education opportunities.

The AHEC Digital Library also provides access to all the libraries and resources within the NC AHEC ILS System.

NC Health Info is an online guide to web sites of quality health and medical information and local health services throughout North Carolina. Designed to meet the needs and interests of North Carolinians, NC Health Info leads users to resources that are reliable and easy to understand. Links on NC Health Info are selected and maintained by North Carolina librarians.

A key component of NC Health Info is the NC Go Local database, a collection of Web links to more than 6,000 web sites of local health facilities in all 100 of North Carolina’s counties. This database of local links was the first resource of its kind to link local health services with corresponding information from MedlinePlus, the consumer health site maintained by the National Library of Medicine and the National Institutes of Health.

NC LIVE is North Carolina’s statewide online library service and serves nearly 200 member libraries across North Carolina, and is dedicated to providing North Carolinians with online library and information resources that support education, enhance statewide economic development, and increase quality of life.

Designed for at-home use, NC LIVE eBooks, magazines, newspapers, journals, media, and other online materials are available from any Internet connection via library websites, and through www.nclive.org.  NC LIVE offers free electronic access to key Nursing & Allied Health resources including CINAHL and  PsychInfo.   Within these and other databases are links to many free full text articles.

NC LIVE resources are available to all North Carolinians through their local public, community college, or academic library. Contact your local library for free access to NC LIVE resources.
